In 1980s Manhattan, a Colombian taxi driver named Ruben reminisces when his cab hosted an ever-changing cast of characters, including a director who offered him an acting gig on a film set. The bustling crowd and vibrant energy amaze Ruben- imagination strikes as he wonders about his role. Will he whisk away a runaway bride? Drive from a horde of rats? Lead a high-speed taxi gang? Ruben recounts he only played as himself, driving an actress down the street and getting two hundred bucks- just enough to celebrate and buy lunch for his friends.
